Igniter Fund

To apply for a Zeroing In “Igniter Grant,” you must submit this information online via Google Form any time between August 11, and our final deadline of August 18.

The form will be available online at the San Diego Math Network Event Page until August 18th: https://sdmn.events.ucsd.edu/igniterfund/

Grants will range from $50-$500 depending on scope/number of participants.
We will give priority to proposals that seek to learn across institutions, levels, or districts.

  • You can apply to fund the following (the San Diego Math Network will reimburse your expense):
  • A follow-up face to face visit to someone else’s program or site;
  • a lunch to debrief;
  • a meeting to discuss data/ask questions about how folks pull off an “exciting effort”;
  • any other learning experience of your design.

In exchange for reimbursement, the Zeroing In team will ask you to follow up by sharing some simple, publicly sharable documentation of your learning experience on the San Diego Math Network website (sdmn.ucsd.edu), so the rest of us can learn. This could be a photo accompanied by a few bullet-pointed “ahas” describing your learning; a short video of the program in action; or a few paragraphs of description. Tell us what you learned about improving work on Algebra II/Integrated III, and your ideas for our region!
